Wonder Opening in University City
Wonder, the innovative food hall featuring multi-restaurant ordering from celebrity chefs, will open its newest Philadelphia location at 3925 Walnut Street in University City on September 4, 2025. This marks Wonder’s third location in Philadelphia proper and eighth in the greater Philadelphia region.
A 4:30PM ribbon cutting kicks off the festivities of the grand opening, featuring Two Locals Brewing Company, bites of Wonder’s most popular menu items, Joshua Lang of BWC Sounds will be performing a live DJ set, and Wonder will be giving away merch to the first 100 guests in line. Merch giveaways will include tote bags featuring a distinct University City design from local artist Fabiola Lara, whose print vending machines have gone viral in and around Philly. Lara’s vending machine will be an ongoing fixture in the shop, showcasing her Philly-centric mini prints. RSVP to the grand opening party HERE.
The University City location positions Wonder within walking distance of the University of Pennsylvania and Drexel University campuses and hospitals, offering students, faculty, and residents access to curated dishes from renowned chefs, including Marcus Samuelsson, Bobby Flay, Marc Murphy, Jonathan Waxman, and Michael Symon, all of which are available for dine-in or delivery through Wonder’s app.
Wonder allows customers to order from multiple restaurants in a single transaction, with all items prepared fresh in one location. The University City kitchen will feature the full roster of Wonder’s chef partners and offer pickup and delivery throughout University City.
$1 from every order placed during opening week will be donated to Philabundance. Wonder’s partnership with Philabundance continues post-opening as well and is an ongoing partner for all Wonder locations.
