Tony Luke’s is Now Open at Springfield Mall

You can grab a cheesesteak while shopping at Springfield Mall.

Tony Luke’s is officially open inside the mall at 1250 Baltimore Pike in Springfield, Delaware County, bringing its lineup of classic Philly sandwiches to the western suburbs.

The Springfield location quietly opened in early August, with Tony Luke’s announcing on August 4 that the new restaurant was officially serving customers.

For longtime fans of the South Philly-born brand, the menu should be familiar. Tony Luke’s is known for its cheesesteaks, roast pork sandwiches, chicken cutlets, chicken cheesesteaks, and seasoned fries, with sandwiches cooked to order.

A Taste of South Philly in Delco

Tony Luke’s traces its roots back to South Philadelphia in 1992. Interestingly, the cheesesteak wasn’t originally the star of the show. The company says it was added to the menu in 1992 in response to demand and has since become one of its best sellers.

The roast pork Italian and chicken cutlet sandwiches have also remained signature items at Tony Luke’s over the years.

According to the company, its sandwiches are served on Liscio’s rolls baked fresh in-store, while vegetables used for toppings are grown in South Jersey.

Over the years, Tony Luke’s has expanded well beyond its South Philadelphia beginnings, with locations appearing in traditional storefronts, stadiums, casinos, and other high-traffic destinations.

The newest location puts the brand directly inside one of Delaware County’s longtime shopping destinations. Springfield Mall is located less than a mile from I-476 and is anchored by retailers including Macy’s and Target.

Tony Luke’s joins the mall’s collection of quick-service food options, giving shoppers another choice for lunch or dinner — and one with a distinctly Philly identity.

The restaurant’s current posted hours generally follow the mall schedule: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
