Testa Rossa Permanently Closes in Glen Mills

Testa Rossa, the stylish Italian-American restaurant from Fearless Restaurants in Glen Mills, has permanently closed. The Google business page says “permanently closed,” the website no longer exists, and the Instagram is gone, too.

The restaurant was located at 919 Baltimore Pike in the Shoppes at Brinton Lake, occupying the former Ruby’s Diner space. Testa Rossa opened in December 2024 after Fearless Restaurants transformed the longtime diner into a colorful, modern Italian-American restaurant and cocktail bar.

Testa Rossa described its concept as Italian food “born in Italy but raised in America,” with a menu centered around house-made pastas, pizzas and familiar Italian-American favorites. The restaurant also featured a prominent bar and outdoor dining area, with brunch, happy hour, and cocktails becoming part of the experience.

The Glen Mills restaurant was part of Fearless Restaurants, the Philadelphia-area hospitality group behind White Dog Cafe, Autograph Brasserie, Rosalie, and other concepts.

Interestingly, Fearless Restaurants had previously planned to expand Testa Rossa to Wayne. Those plans changed earlier this year when the company decided to introduce a different Italian concept, Martini & Roz, at the former Bertucci’s property at 523 W. Lancaster Avenue instead.

The closing gives Testa Rossa a relatively short run in Glen Mills, lasting less than two years.

As of now, it is unclear what may eventually replace Testa Rossa at the prominent Baltimore Pike location.
