South Philadelphia is about to get a taste of something new. Wonder, the innovative mealtime platform known for bringing together dishes from celebrity chefs like Marcus Samuelsson and Nancy Silverton, will officially open its South Philly location on Thursday, September 12th—and the whole city is invited to the celebration.

The grand opening kicks off at 2:00 p.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by an afternoon packed with local flavor and entertainment.

From 2:30 to 4:00 p.m., students from the nearby High School for Creative & Performing Arts will take the stage with live performances.

Music fans can also look forward to a live DJ set from Josh Lang of BWC Sounds from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.

In true South Philly style, art and food will also be central to the celebration. Fabiola Lara, the cult-followed Philly vending machine artist, has designed a limited-edition Wonder x South Philly print that will be screenprinted live on tote bags for attendees. Meanwhile, guests can enjoy samples and sweet bites from iconic local bakery Isgro’s.

The event is free and open to the public, but RSVPs are encouraged. Guests can sign up to join the grand opening festivities here: events.wonder.com/southphillygo.

Wonder Food Hall South Philly is located at 1001 South Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147.
