Kitchen + Kocktails by Kevin Kelley Opening Soon

The highly anticipated Kitchen + Kocktails by Kevin Kelley, located at 225 South Broad Street, will open its doors in mid-October, bringing its signature blend of upscale Southern soul food, immersive design, and vibrant energy to The Avenue of the Arts. This will be the sixth location for the Dallas-based business.

“I chose Philly because I love this city and the fantastic, hard-working people who live in and around the City of Brotherly Love, as they are incredibly passionate about their city and their food scene,” said Kevin Kelley, founder and CEO. “I am beyond excited to bring Kitchen + Kocktails by Kevin Kelley to Philadelphia — a city renowned for its culture, community, and dynamic food scene. Expanding into Philly is truly a dream come true.”

Kitchen + Kocktails by Kevin Kelley occupies 7,200 square feet on the ground floor of the Cambria Hotel, and will be the largest Black-owned restaurant in the city, employing more than 125 local hospitality professionals.

The tantalizing scratch-made menu boasts more than 50 decadent, elevated Southern comfort food compositions, including Shrimp and Grits; Fried Chicken and Waffles; Southern Fried Catfish; Caribbean Jerk Lamb Chops; Candied Yams; Mac and Cheese; Collard Greens; Fried Green Tomatoes; Seafood Gumbo; Blackened Salmon; and much more. Appetizers start at $13, entrees at $21. The restaurant features a dynamic beverage program with an ultra-premium selection of spirits.

Guests can expect a design forward grand dining experience with seating for up to 300. The space contains soaring ceilings, a dramatic balcony, and immersive décor that spans two floors, as well as a signature flower wall adorned with hundreds of red roses. In addition to the spacious dining room and expansive 30-seat bar, there is also The Asset Lounge, a private, upscale dining and event space reimagined from the building’s original bank vault, which can accommodate 40 guests — a perfect luxury experience for celebrations and tastemaker takeovers.

Kelley, an energetic attorney-turned-restaurateur, founded the Kitchen + Kocktails by Kevin Kelley brand in August of 2020 when he opened the first location in Dallas, which was followed by openings in Chicago, Washington DC, Charlotte, and Atlanta.

Kelley, who has visited Philadelphia frequently over the years – partly because his two children attend Princeton University – has long admired the city’s celebrated culinary scene and vibrant spirit.

“Philadelphia has always been one of my favorite cities,” noted Kelley. “Being able to be a part of the city’s incredible food scene means the world to me. This isn’t just another restaurant opening. We’re looking very forward to becoming a hotspot where locals gather, dine with friends and loved ones, commemorate milestones, and celebrate the city’s wins.”’

Kelley added that reservations will book fast — availability opens September 19, 2025.
